The space agency NASA has warned the world that an asteroid the size of an airplane is approaching Earth at a speed of 45,000 kilometers per hour.
This 170-meter asteroid is expected to pass by our planet at a distance of about 218,000 kilometers.
It is predicted to pass close to Earth tonight at 8:30 PM (Indian time).
If this 40-meter-wide asteroid were to collide with Earth, it could wipe out an entire metropolitan city.
According to NASA and the European Space Agency (ESA), there is currently no cause for concern.
